Village description: Molinazzo di Monteggio (340 metres above sea level) belongs to the municipality of Monteggio and is located in Val Tresa. Molinazzo is located directly on the Tresa, the river between Lago di Lugano and Lago di Maggiore. The village has some very beautiful old buildings, which have been lovingly restored. It is 2 km to the nearest customs crossing (Ponte Cremenaga) and approx. 5 minutes to Ponte Tresa and Luino, both of which have many shopping facilities and a weekly market.
