Cà d'Punt (Half of a stable in Isola)

The Cà d'Punt is located in the middle of the small Bergeller-Maiensäss hamlet in a unique location on Lake Sils in the Upper Engadine, between Maloja and Sils.
The Cà d`Punt is a developed stable on three floors, consisting of two halves, with little change. The rental apartment consists of two bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a shower and a separate toilet, an open living-kitchen room with three large windows on the first floor and a spacious entrance area with a separate storage room and toilet on the ground floor. Wood, concrete and plastered walls are the materials with which the interior conversion was realized. The paving in front of the entrance, the old stone staircase, two small stable windows and the wooden cord have been retained from the old stable substance; the view from the rooms is correspondingly reduced and special. In summer the hamlet can be reached by car via the field road from Maloja, in winter the hamlet can only be reached on foot (in about 60 minutes) or with cross-country skis, either from Maloja via the field road or, when the lake is frozen, from Plan da Lej (in about 20 minutes) and from Sils (in about 45 minutes), accessible from the public winter car park/underground car park (Sils) and public transport. The Isola Delta is a landscape paradise for nature lovers, for those seeking relaxation, mountain hikers, fishermen and cross-country skiers. In November, December, April and May Isola is only recommended for experienced hikers or guests, as weather changes can severely affect accessibility in the short term. If you are weatherproof looking for solitude then you are in the right place then too. In winter the house is in the shade for about 3 months, to enjoy the sun you have to go 200 m towards the sea.

Location description: Maloja is on the border with Italian Switzerland. Giovanni Segantini chose Maloja as his last home and subject for so many nature pictures. The adjacent, unspoilt Bergell and nearby Chiavenna are popular with hikers, art lovers and families and, because they are lower down, offer variety even in bad weather.
