The apartment is located in the car-free FEX in the village Crasta. At lastaila.ch you will find a detailed description. Enter your apartment through the separate entrance directly from the outside stairs. The stylish entrance area is designed with round arches and includes next to the cloakroom also a separate toilet. You will especially appreciate this when you have guests to visit. The kitchen has been designed deliberately open, so that the communication is not too short even during cooking. The complete equipment including dishwasher makes cooking a pleasure. This is also helped by the optimal lighting. The centerpiece is the living room, which you enter through a round arch. This is equipped with a two-part sliding door, so you can close the living room if necessary. The dining area with its cozy corner seat offers enough space for 4 - 6 people. So you can also invite guests to visit. In the evening, enjoy the beautiful view and the crackling fire in the fireplace in the cozy sofa. If you really need contact with the outside world, you have all the amenities at your disposal (telephone, digital satellite TV and radio). Of course you can also surf the internet with your laptop. In the design of the bedroom, we have taken special care that our guests can enjoy the wonderful view even from the bed. Your bathroom is furnished with a double vanity washbasin. After the refreshing shower or the cozy bath in the combination tub, you will appreciate the warm bath towel from the Bagnotherm radiator. The apartment also has a 16 m2 large terrace, which you can enter from the living room. There are both sun loungers, as well as table and chairs available. A too-strong sunshade protects you from too much sunshine.

What mountains. What lakes. What light! Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Four flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.  


In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Cross-country skiers will find over 220km (137 miles) of perfectly groomed trails in the Upper Engadin and the side valleys. The winter hiking paths and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes are characterised by their light, sunshine and space amidst inspiring Alpine scenery. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths. Visitors who prefer to have everything in view, meanwhile, will delight in the breathtaking vistas on the panorama hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.  


Families can bask in the Engadin sun during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the Val Roseg or Val Fex, or race down the mountainside into the valley on the winding, 4.2km (2.6 mile) long toboggan run on Muottas Muragl.

Location description: Sils – an enrichment for the body, mind and soul
Sils is a place overflowing with life energy; this can actually be scientifically measured. But why bother when you are anyway guaranteed to fall under the spell of the landscape at first sight?
Writers such as Nietzsche, artists like Beuys, and musicians such as David Bowie drew inspiration from the wonderful open spaces and the magical light here, and each played a considerable role in establishing Sils as the cultural centre of the Engadin. These days – with good reason and not without a sense of pride – both local inhabitants and guests from all over the world describe Sils as a place abounding in life force and natural earth energy. For particularly high values on the Bovis scale – the life force index – have been measured here. Nestling idyllically between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana, the village lies at the gateway to the romantic Fex Valley and is the perfect starting point for walks through this wide open, light-flooded valley. In winter, the best way to explore the valley is by taking a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh.
Those for whom the sky’s the limit will find a variety of routes for hiking and mountain-biking tours on Sil’s home mountain, the Furtschellas. Moreover, a trip on Lake Sils on board Europe’s highest-altitude scheduled cruise boat provides particularly spectacular views of the beautiful Alpine scenery.
However, Sils is also the perfect departure point for winter hikes and cross-country ski tours through the wide expanse of the frozen lakes, which trustingly huddle around the Furtschellas. From the Furtschellas, you can get higher still in no time at all – on the Corvatsch, home to the highest summit station in the Eastern Alps (3303m/10,836ft). And from here, 120 kilometres (75 miles) of challenging pistes lead back down into the valley.
