At 750 hectares, the Pfynwald is the largest pine forest in Europe. Its great variety of flora and fauna have made it famous. Dry pine forests, tranquil ponds, rocky steppes and floodplain landscapes can be explored on a hike.

The Illbach can swell from a trickle to a raging torrent in a short space of time. The brown mass then rolls viscously down into the valley. Its roaring and thundering can then be clearly heard at the oasis.

The impressive suspension bridge is only 15 minutes away.

From the house, you can take short or longer hikes into the mountain forest towards the Illhorn.

Where the great forest fire raged in 2003, a natural paradise has now been created, providing a habitat for rare plants and animals. The reconquest of the area by nature is in full swing and the species composition is constantly changing.

After just a short drive, holidaymakers find themselves in the middle of the wonderful Valais mountains.
