The Chalet Tschifra is located right on the edge of the slopes, so you can ski right to the front door in winter. Just a few meters away is the Alpmatten ski lift, which provides easy access to the Aletscharena. The quiet location on the edge of the forest also makes the house an ideal starting point for hikes in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn during the summer. The walk from the house to the cable car station takes about 15 minutes on foot, and it takes about 5 minutes to the connection lift to the village. The view of the Valais Alps all the way to the Matterhorn emphasizes the special location of this chalet.
