Accessible by car: Take the Schwyz motorway exit. Drive towards Sattel-Pfäffikon. After the Burg restaurant and before the Point restaurant, turn right onto Engelstockstrasse, a narrow mountain road. Continue for 4.6 km, always on the same road, until you reach the upper Engelstock 1. 

Accessible on foot: Chalet Engelstock is about a 30-minute walk from the Mostelberg mountain station. The circular trail is also open in winter. Upon request, the chalet is also available for events in winter. Tel. 079 447 08 58

The holiday home is detached and located on the Engelstock hiking trail and has a separate entrance. Along the hiking trail, there are various barbecue facilities, and at the Blüemlisberg goat farm, you can help yourself to ice cream and drinks. Treat yourself to a meal at one of the various restaurants on the Mostelberg or simply enjoy the peace and quiet in an unspoilt world.

When the Engelstock chalet is once again above the fog, you feel so close to the sky.
Accessible by car ‘in winter, four-wheel drive or chains recommended’ from Schlagstrasse, turn into Engelstockstrasse after the Burg restaurant, 4.6 km uphill. Sleeps up to 10 people.
Enjoy a relaxing, peaceful holiday in the fresh mountain air, far away from stress and hectic. Your home during the most beautiful days of the year is located in the middle of Central Switzerland at 1100 metres above sea level. The spacious seating area offers views of countless mountain peaks as well as Lake Lucerne and Lake Lauerz.

Holiday Apartment in the Chalet

Chalet Engelstock is located in a quiet hillside setting on the slopes of Engelstock, high above the valley basin of Schwyz. The simply furnished 2-room holiday apartment on the ground floor has a separate entrance and offers one bedroom for up to 8 people (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, and 1 gallery with 4 sleeping places). An additional sleeping option for 2 people is available in the garden house directly in front of the apartment entrance.

The apartment features a kitchen with a large adjoining common room, a shower/WC, and a spacious garden seating area that is partly covered. The facilities are ideally suited for family holidays, vacations with pets, and hiking groups.

Active in nature. A sauna is now also available.

The hiking trails of the Engelstock, Hochstuckli, and Mythen regions start right outside the front door.

Hiking tip – Goat Farm:
In just 20 minutes you can reach the Blüemlisberg goat farm. Fresh goat’s milk ice cream is produced there daily – a tasting is well worth it.

Hiking tip – Children’s Paradise, Goat Trail & Thrills:
The “Stuckli Jump” (an outdoor jumping paradise for children), the “Stuckli Run” (summer toboggan run), and the Raiffeisen Skywalk, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Europe, are all easily accessible.

Hiking tip – Engelstock Circular Trail:
The leisurely Engelstock circular trail takes about 75 minutes. Along the way, you will pass several barbecue areas and places to stop for refreshments.

Hiking tip – Mythen:
The 360-degree panorama from the summit of the Grosser Mythen is breathtaking and is something everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime. Experienced hikers can reach the summit of the Grosser Mythen in just over 3 hours.

Winter tip:
In winter, you can set off directly from the chalet on snowshoes or enjoy a winter hike on the Engelstock circular trail. A fondue or raclette evening, a New Year’s Eve party, or a bachelor/bachelorette celebration at Chalet Engelstock is always a memorable experience.

Event / Party Room:
The spacious common room and the garden seating area are ideal for various celebrations and events and can accommodate up to 26 people. Whether it’s a birthday party, graduation celebration, family gathering, or midsummer festival – the facilities can be rented for a wide range of occasions, with or without overnight accommodation.
