Summer: From Chalet Rio you start countless hikes on the Bettmeralp and in the whole Aletsch area. The Chalet Rio stands on a quiet and sunny south-facing slope on the car-free Bettmeralp, with a wonderful unobstructed view of the entire village and the surrounding mountains. The best known chapel Maria zum Schnee is in direct view. Cable car, gondola lift, chair lifts, restaurants and grocery stores are within 100 to 300 m.
