Description of the holiday rental

Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed.

Public transport: The village of Heiligkreuz is well served by public transport (Postbus line Entlebuch-Hasle-Heiligkreuz, line 233, with 8 connections daily).

Number of persons 4-6: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate six guests (plus baby). There is one double room and one four-bed room available. The large living/dining room/kitchen opens out onto a terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding meadows and woods. In the large bedroom, a sofa can be converted into a very comfortable double bed if required. The bathroom with shower and toilet offers modern comfort. The floors are made of wood, which is why we recommend good slippers. The house was built in 1845 and therefore it can happen that the floors creak and that you can hear the neighbours on the floor above from time to time.

Garden: A terrace and a garden seating area are at your disposal.

WLAN: Is available.

Open: The house can be rented all year round and for short holidays (min. 3 nights).

Pets: Pets are allowed

Altitude: 1127 metres above sea level

The Altes Pächterhaus is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing structure. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument disclaim any liability.
