Description of the holiday rental

Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. There is space for one vehicle. Other public car parks are located by the bridge or at the railway station. Parking on the Brunnenplatz and in front of the neighbouring houses is not permitted.  Access to the house is guaranteed. In winter, when there is a lot of snowfall, the roads may not be easily passable. Winter tyres and snow chains are then an advantage.

Public transport: By train to S-chanf, 5 minutes walk from the station to Chesa Sulai.

Number of persons 8: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate eight guests (plus baby). There are four double rooms available. The ceilings of two bedrooms are rather low (180 cm). The Chesa Sulai offers ample space for 8 people. The house has various lounges: two living rooms, a kitchen-cum-living room, the large Sulèr and the conservatory. The floors are mostly made of stone and wood, which is why we recommend good slippers.

Garden: There is a conservatory with direct access to the garden.

WLAN: Is available, as well as a television and a telephone connection.

Open: The house can be rented all year round.

Pets: Pets are allowed.

Altitude: 1660 metres above sea level.

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The Chesa Sulai is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument disclaim any liability.
