Description of the holiday rental
Holidays in a listed building combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the "Ferien im Baudenkmal" foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Persons: 4-8 (plus one child up to 2 years).
Bedrooms: 1 bedroom with double bed (180x200), 1 bedroom with single bed (90x200), 1 bedroom with two single beds (90x200), 1 bedroom with three single beds (90x200), (cot available on request).
Season: all year round

Altitude: 760 m above sea level
Pets: not allowed.
Public transport: Sierre railway station, by bus in the direction of Crans Montana, Venthône, Anchettes stop. The castle is about 180 metres from the bus stop.
Parking: A free car park is available 100 metres from the house. You can drive right up to the house to unload your car. In exceptional cases, a second car can be parked in the castle courtyard.
Outdoor area: A seating area in the garden, part of the garden is available to guests, the rest of the garden is private.
WLAN: available (the thick castle walls prevent uninterrupted WLAN service)
Heating: The flat is heated by central heating

Kitchen: 1 oven, 1 ceramic hob, 1 fridge, 1 dishwasher, mocha pot
Bathroom: 1 bathroom with shower, WC, double washbasin. 1
Separate WC. Hairdryer available.
Washing machine and tumble dryer: not available.
Good to know: The castle with garden is a listed building. We ask you to use it with great consideration for the existing building fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. The Grande Salle is part of the flat and may be entered. However, guests are requested not to eat or drink in it and not to use the historic furniture (secretary, armchair and table).
Although the house is technically equipped to modern standards, certain functional details are not in line with today's habits. The house is not barrier-free. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal disclaim any liability.
