Description of the holiday rental

The Lerche holiday apartment is located in the beautiful Bernese Oberland in the middle of the quiet Beatenberg area above Lake Thun. The apartment offers space for 2 people. The kitchen with electric stove and oven, refrigerator and dishwasher invite you to taste milk, cheese, meat, fish and other specialties of the region try your hand at typical Swiss recipes. The fireplace in the living room contributes to the general cosy ambience of the house (wood is to be paid for on site). The covered terraces invite you to enjoy the sun on warm days and take in the magnificent view of the mountains and the lake. Please note: access to the holiday apartment is via a natural path (natural stairs). From the main road, walk down approx. 200 m (unpaved road). You can park your car on the street approx. 350 m from the apartment. And smoking is not permitted in and around the apartment. The Beatenberg holiday region is known as a sun terrace in the Bernese Oberland and invites connoisseurs as well as explorers and adventurers to spend their holidays here.

The Beatenberg region offers you a wonderful view of Lake Thun, the Oberland metropolis Interlaken and the "famous three" Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the middle of the nearby Alpine panorama. Hike through high moors and karst fields and enjoy the peace and quiet on a leisurely stroll on the Beatusweg from the Waldegg district to the village center. Ideal hikes (tips from the owner): Niederhorn, Burgfeldstand, Gemmenalp with many hiking routes back to Beatenberg. Justistal, Sigriswil, Thunersee, return by boat (Poatauto from Interlaken included in the guest card). Waldegg, Habkern with the Alp Heubühlen cheese dairy (Postbus for the return trip included in the guest card). Popular bathing options are the indoor pool in Beatenberg, outdoor pools in Habkern and Interlaken Unterseen. Roam the natural surroundings and take a trip to the Beatushölen, to the Jungfraujoch via Interlaken or to the impressive Aare Gorge near Meiringen. The owner also recommends excursions to: Harder, Schynige Platte, along Lake Brienz to Brienz, Brienzer Rothorn, or along Lake Thun to Spiez, Zweisimmen, Lenk, Gstaad, or Kandersteg, as well as the cities of Thun and Bern with their historic and UNESCO-protected old towns.
