Overview

Description of the holiday rental

The bright new 2 ½ room flat for 1-4 people is located on the top floor of the Chesa Tach, a stately farmhouse in a sunny location. The historically valuable house has been completely preserved. Load-bearing beams date back to 1560. Between 2014 and 2018, the entire house was completely renovated using regional materials. In front of the house is a large garden with a south-facing seating area.
The high, light-filled flat with original larch floors is accessed via a wide, historic staircase. Four large skylights and 2 original windows offer views of the mountains and the historic neighbouring houses.
The flat has a spacious corridor with a cloakroom, from which solid larch doors open to the left and right into the bedroom and bathroom. Straight ahead is the large living room. This is characterised by the special roof construction and its height. On one side is the linoleum kitchen with stone worktop and large dining table. On the other side is a new wood-burning stove, a sofa with two quality mattresses and comfortable wicker armchairs. The bedroom has two single beds made of Swiss stone pine with a Hüslernest system. The bathroom has a large shower in natural stone, a washbasin and a WC.
Duvets, pillows and duvets are made of wool. The Wi-Fi is switched off at night for a good night's sleep.
The barn offers space for bicycles, skis and firewood. There is a car parking space in front of the house.

There is much to discover in the immediate vicinity: the quiet, old village centre with church, the Val Bever and the renaturalised Inn with its meadows. A grocery shop, restaurants, bus and railway station, as well as a large playground are all within 300 to 500 metres. The cross-country ski trail, the hiking trail and the cycle routes pass 100 metres from the house.
Bever is easily accessible by train and there is a very well-developed public transport network in the valley.

Excursion possibilities: These mountains. These lakes. This light! On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of enjoyable trails: the Upper Engadine offers a first-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails in the midst of the pristine mountain world and the inspiring Upper Engadine lake district. The three flow trails on the Corviglia provide the right flow. The lakes of the Upper Engadin are also popular with sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling: the possibilities are almost endless. The expanse of the inspiring high valley can be experienced in a particularly impressive way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And in addition to the wide range of sporting activities on offer, there are also first-class cultural attractions such as a visit to the museum or the numerous art galleries in the various villages.
In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza ski areas and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes shine with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.
Families can enjoy the Engadin sunshine on a carriage ride into Val Roseg or Val Fex, or toboggan down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.
Welcome to Engadin St. Moritz.

Location description: The dreamy Engadin village offers an idyllic holiday for the whole family. And it knows how to enchant precisely because you will find nothing but peace and nature here. Situated in the heart of the Engadin high valley, tranquil Bever does nothing more passionately than tell stories: with enchanted corners, little windows set deep into the façades and natural ice artworks on the banisters and guttering. And with the mighty, renovated church tower, which pierces the blue sky and strikes the time, which seems to tick a little more leisurely here than elsewhere.
