Hiking areas: Cable car and chairlift from Orselina to Cardada / Cimetta.
Enjoy a 360° panoramic view from the Maggia delta between Locarno and Ascona - the lowest point in Switzerland - to the Monte Rosa massif - the highest point in Switzerland.
Cardada / Cimetta offers countless walks and great hikes for all ages and as long as the sun hasn't completely melted the snow, the hikes can also be done with snowshoes. The most precious treasures are often hidden...

Bosco Gurin
is one of the most enchanting mountain villages in Switzerland. The picturesque village was founded in 1253 by Walser settlers and today is beautifully preserved with its original houses made of masonry and wood. In Bosco Gurin you can immerse yourself in the past, but also experience an unforgettable holiday during which you can enjoy the peace and quiet, take part in outdoor sports and rediscover traditions.

Onsernone-Maggia and Verzasca Valleys: The Onsernone Valley / Lake Cavegna
a wild, deeply incised V-shaped valley orientated east-west towards the path of the sun; steep, impassable valley sides; sunny villages clinging to the rocks halfway up the terraced southern slope. Away from urban centres, the valley has preserved its peace and tranquillity, its very special magic of nature and culture. The Maggia Valley branches out and splits like a hand: into Val di Campo and Val di Bosco, Val Bavona, Val Lavizzara and Val Peccia; a large hand with gnarled and crooked fingers, criss-crossed by blue veins of water for bathing that spring from Alpine passes and mountain ridges.
The Verzasca Valley:
is a wildly romantic and fascinating valley that has retained the original characteristics of the southern Alpine side valleys. It is a tourist region that offers many interesting cultural, scenic and sporting attractions

Boat trip on Lake Maggiore: Intra market (Italy).
The town of Intra-Verbania also has one of the most popular markets on Lake Maggiore. The lakeside road after the Brissago border crossing (Madonna di Ponte) is usually very busy. Why not take a boat or hydrofoil?
The wide range of products on offer includes: fresh cheese, mozzarella, Parmigiano, pecorino, fish from the lake and rivers, a large selection of cold meats, bread and sweet pastries, and all kinds of honey products. Even in winter, the market stalls are laden with fresh vegetables. Shoes, bags, belts and jackets made of leather are all the rage, just like at the other markets in northern Italy.
The Brissago Islands,
with the Botanical Gardens of the Canton of Ticino, offer us the opportunity to escape the noise, chaos and stress of everyday life. The exotic plants, colours and smells promote our physical and mental well-being.
