The peninsula-shaped mountain, Sassalto, dominates the village and thanks to its geological, faunal and botanical features, it is a natural site protected by the Swiss Confederation. The area around Caslano is dotted with scenic paths between the mountains and the lake, and there is no lack of opportunities to admire beautiful religious monuments and ancient buildings. Museum lovers can visit the Fishing Museum, one of three in Switzerland, the exhibition of photographic equipment of the Vincenzo Vicari Foundation, and the Chocolate Museum, beloved by gourmets of all ages. Even those who want to do sport will be satisfied: in Caslano and its surroundings, in fact, all kinds of sporting activities can be practised, from tennis to golf, from horse riding to swimming, from sailing to windsurfing.
