Description of the holiday rental

Experience your dream holiday in our detached, rustic Ticino-style holiday home, which is situated in a fantastic panoramic location. With a private and free car parking facility as well as a few additional, managed public parking spaces directly on the road, our property offers the ideal starting point for your excursions. Please note, however, that access to the house is via an ascending flight of steps through our lushly planted garden, which is only partially suitable for people with limited mobility.

Inside, you will be greeted by a living area spread over two floors. The upper floor serves as the entrance area and houses the entrance hall, a cloakroom and a separate WC. The well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 4-ring hob including oven and a large fridge is ideal for cooking. A small adjoining room offers useful storage space and practical appliances such as a washing machine and hoover. The adjoining, spacious living/dining room with a warm-air fireplace, dining table and chairs, seating area and armchair offers the ideal space for cosy hours. There is also a rustic grottino with open fire for cosy evenings.
In the basement there are two large bedrooms, each with 2 beds and its own bathroom. One room also has a baby cot (60 x 120 cm). This room is used as a passageway to the 2nd bedroom. However, the sleeping area can be partitioned off with a curtain. Please note the floor plan sketches.

The outside area of our house promises relaxing hours: There is a large garden seating area with a stone table and benches right next to the house. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the surroundings while you relax on the deckchairs or fire up the barbecue. For even more outdoor enjoyment, there is another seating area with pergola and large stone table below the house. Due to the steepness of the terrain, you should never leave small children playing unsupervised in the garden.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of activities and excursions: Locarno Monti, situated on a sunny slope, is a district of the town of Locarno, which can be reached in a few minutes by car. You can also reach the Piazza Grande on foot in approx. 30-35 minutes via one of the many stairways. Explore the many opportunities for sporting activities such as hiking, cycling, mountain biking, golf and water sports or take a trip to nearby sights such as Ascona, Lugano, Bellinzona, the Brissago Islands or the Madonna del Sasso. A cable car takes you up Locarno's local mountain, Cardada, or you can explore the Maggia, Verzasca or Centovalli valleys.
