Description of the holiday rental

Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Car park: There are two free car parks right next to the house. The public car park is next to the house and is subject to a charge. Access to the Château is guaranteed. You can unload your luggage and shopping in front of the house.

Public transport: From Lausanne, take the train in the direction of Brig to Sierre, then the 411 bus in the direction of Sion station to Réchy Centre (4th stop) or the 441 bus in the direction of Vercorin to Réchy Village (10th stop). The bus stop is 20 metres from the Château de Réchy.

Number of persons 4-6: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate four to six guests (plus baby). The house is entered through the large gate through the passage on the right. The staircase, which winds through the house like a spine, leads to the kitchen. The living/dining room and the two single rooms are located on the upper floor, while the double room with an additional sofa bed is on the ground floor. The shower/WC is located on the mezzanine floors. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers.

Heating: The flat is equipped with central heating.

Garden: The house has a south-facing outdoor space, which is furnished with a table and chairs and a south-facing balcony. The house is located in the centre of Réchy, not far from spectacular nature.

WLAN: Is available.

Open: The house can be rented all year round.Pets: Pets are allowed.

Altitude: 557 metres above sea level.

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The Château de Réchy is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is modern, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
