Description of the holiday rental
Lovingly converted 2-room Maiensäss on 2 floors:
First floor: living-dining room with 1 sleeping place, double bed separated by a sliding door, open kitchen with 2-burner gas rechaud and a cooker with firewood (also serves as heating), small gas fridge.
Ground floor: 1 room with 2 bunk beds, bathroom with running tap water in the shower/sink, WC with flush and wood-burning stove. Both floors equipped with solar power with 220 V inverter. There is no running water in the hut in winter, so the shower cannot be used in winter. WC can be used with a bucket flush.
The mountain hut is located at 1940 metres above sea level on the Bavugls mountain pasture above Pignia. Bavugls can be reached from May to November (depending on weather conditions) in 20 minutes by car via the single-lane dirt road. In winter the hut can be reached on foot in 2 1/2 hours (in consultation with the landlord it is possible to reach the hut by quad bike and chauffeur, journey time 1/2 hour). ) From Bavugls you can enjoy the beautiful mountain landscape around our two local mountains Piz la Tschera and Piz Curver, which are well worth the easy to moderate hike.
