Description of the holiday rental

Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monument’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Public transport: SBB to Moutier. Bus from Moutier to Souboz. Please note: There is no bus from Moutier to Souboz on Saturday, but there are various taxi companies in Moutier.

By car: By car Route 30 exit Rue de Chalière. The house is located directly on the road

Car park: In front of the house, please do not park in front of the barn.

Number of persons 4: The house can accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms. The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. Despite the insulation, it can get colder in winter, so we recommend warm clothing.

Short holidays: Not possible except at Easter, Ascension and Whitsun

Altitude: 875 metres above sea level.

Kitchen: Stove, oven, dishwasher, mocha coffee machine available. A washing machine is not available. Please do not touch or remove the soot from the vaulted kitchen.

Extras: Generally ventilate well, in the chambre basse the room height at the ceiling beam is only 1.60m. Access to the chambre basse is behind the stove and is narrow and steep, several small pieces of luggage are recommended (instead of one large one). In the chambre haute there is a threshold in the centre of the room and the floor is very uneven.

Important addition:
Maison Heidi is a historic house, a listed building. Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, we would like to point out that certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not comply with current standards and could be a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the Vacation in architectural monument foundation decline any liability.
