Chalet die Gletscher [“the glaciers”] is an architect designed three storey 6-8 bed Swiss ski chalet, built in 2008, with spectacular view from all rooms over the mountains and glaciers of the Lotschental Valley. The chalet is conveniently located in the 1950 metre high Lauchernalp, three minutes from the first ski lift, shops (shop is open only during winter-season), bars, and restaurants of the recently upgraded 33 kilometre Lauchernalp Ski Field which because of its height of over 3000 metres has one of the best all season snow covers in the Valais region – and is ideal for all classes of skiers particularly intermediate and advanced skiers. Because of the altitude you cannot dirve directly to the chalet in winter, you must take a cable car to get to the chalet (3 min ride) there is undercover secure parking at the base of the cable car and your luggage can be transported for you. Nearby sports facilities: Mountain climbing, Mountainbiking, Skiing (alpin), Cross-country skiing
