Chalet Morgenberg

Comfortable bedrooms
The chalet offers five tastefully furnished bedrooms, accommodating up to 8 adults:

• 2 double rooms, one with a large sun balcony
• 2 single rooms
• 1 room with two single beds

Matching bed and terry cloth linen, along with additional blankets for cooler nights, are provided.

Modern kitchen & cozy communal spaces
The spacious and modern kitchen with cooking island is fully equipped with cooking utensils and modern appliances (oven, steamer, dishwasher, washing machine). Two cozy living rooms with tiled stoves, reading corners, sofas, game cabinets, and corner benches offer relaxation. The light-filled dining room with a Swedish stove is ideal for shared meals.

Dual-sided garden
The expansive outdoor area features an outdoor seating area, an idyllic Alpine garden, a wooden fountain, a fire pit with a grill grate, and a generous play lawn. A covered loggia is available in the entrance area and serves as a ski room in winter.

Chalet Morgenberg is located in a quiet and sunny spot with a magnificent panoramic view of the majestic Glarus Alps. Surrounded by forest, garden, and unspoiled meadows, it offers a perfect retreat with plenty of open space.

The house tells a long history. Built when Braunwald was only accessible by a mountain path, it was once the home of Lorly Jenny, the author of the fairy tale "Zwerg Baartli," and has welcomed guests from near and far for generations. With careful and thoughtful renovation, Morgenberg has been updated to meet modern standards without losing its original character. The result is a house of irresistible charm with a spacious and cozy mountain lodge atmosphere.

Located at a mid-level elevation in the village, the grocery store "Schwettiberg" and the nearest restaurant are just a short 7 and 8-minute walk away, respectively. The sports lifts are reachable on foot in 14 minutes, while in winter, direct access to the house by sled or skis is possible. Numerous walking and hiking trails start right at the doorstep.

Price
The rental fee is determined by the occupancy of the house (independent of the season) and will be gladly provided upon request. As a general guideline:

• Starting from CHF 1'000 / week (for 4 adults)
• Additional costs (electricity, wood, towels, bed linens, and kitchen linens) are not included and will be invoiced separately based on usage

Cleaning
The final cleaning is typically done by the tenants.*

* Upon request and subject to availability, we can arrange a cleaning service for you, with the costs billed separately. As cleaning staff in Braunwald are scarce and quickly booked, we advise inquiring about the possibility of final cleaning when making your reservation. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee our ability to arrange it.

Rental conditions

• Rentals are typically on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday (check-out by 12:00, check-in at 14:00). Different rental durations are available upon request.
• Occupied during Christmas/New Year.
• Non-smoking house.
• No pets.
