In winter, the Göschenen region leaves nothing to be desired. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find their perfect match – from the beginner's hill to the daring "freeride", there are no limits to the fun on the boards. Ski tourers will not have discovered all the tour variants even after weeks; there are easy ski tours to demanding winter ascents of the surrounding 3000-meter peaks in abundance. For cross-country skiers, the trail between Andermatt and Realp is a dreamy running area, and even cozy winter hikers or sled friends will find their fun on the snow-covered paths or mountain passes. For hikers, bikers, or climbers, the Gotthard region offers a wide network of hiking and mountain trails, with mountain lakes and roaring streams, with rugged rock formations and almost mystical forests, providing a wealth of choices. Climbing routes of all difficulties and lengths can be found around Göschenen. In the Göscheneralp valley, five SAC huts invite you to visit. Among others, famous climbing areas such as Salbitschien, Bergseeschjien, Hochschjien, and the Voralp of Göschenen are very easily accessible.
