Les Collons is ~2 km away; this pleasant holiday resort has shops, restaurants, après-ski pubs, bank, post office, ski hire, ski school. In Thyon 2000, ~6 km, indoor swimming pool and childcare (from 18 months; winter season). Attractive winter hiking trails and snowshoe routes. The traditional Valais village of Héremence is approx. 2.5 km away. There you can stroll through picturesque narrow alleyways with historic wooden houses - a picture-book mountain village. From Greppon Blanc (2,700 m), wonderful deep-snow descent "Eteygeon" (not marked or groomed; at your own risk) over 1,300 metres in altitude into the secluded Dixence valley; return by free ski bus. Large Centralpark snow park near Thyon. Outdoor artificial ice rink in Les Collons, free admission. The region offers ~12 km of cross-country ski trails. Ski pass: up to 20% ski pass discount - depending on the season - on the normal price for the entire Les Collons - Verbier - 4 Vallées area and for the local Printze ski area from a 6-day pass; also applies to children and young people. A stroll through the historic town of Sion, the capital of Valais, and a boat trip on the underground lake of St-Léonard are well worthwhile.
