Description of the holiday rental

Very sunny, well-kept 2-room flat in one of the oldest Engadine houses in Chamues-ch, in a quiet location with no through traffic. The flat is very tastefully and neatly furnished in the Engadine style, with wood panelling and parquet flooring throughout. The living room is furnished with a new sofa and rocking chair, fireplace (firewood is available free of charge) and dining table made of slate and Swiss stone pine tables. The flat offers cable TV and WLAN. Well-equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, various kitchen appliances such as Nespresso machine and microwave with integrated oven, bathroom with bathtub. Bed linen, towelling and table linen included in the rental price. In the bedroom there are two single beds with a large mattress and Nordic duvets as well as a built-in Swiss stone pine wardrobe. Direct car access to the house (single garage and reserved parking space) included in the rental price, 5 minutes from the cross-country ski trail and bus station.

On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of enjoyable trails: the Upper Engadine offers a first-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails amidst the pristine mountain world and the inspiring Upper Engadine lake district. The four flow trails on the Corviglia provide the right flow. The lakes of the Upper Engadin are also popular with sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling: the possibilities are almost endless. The expanse of the inspiring high valley can be experienced in a particularly impressive way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And in addition to the wide range of sporting activities on offer, there are also first-class cultural attractions such as a visit to the museum or the numerous art galleries in the various villages.
In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza ski areas and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen lakes of the Upper Engadine sparkle with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.
Families can enjoy the Engadin sunshine on a carriage ride into Val Roseg or Val Fex, or toboggan down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.

Village description: La Punt Chamues-ch - The proud village at the foot of the Albula Pass
Old patrician houses at the foot of the Albula Pass characterise the townscape of La Punt. The former farming village of Chamues-ch, on the other hand, lies sheltered at the entrance to the mysterious Chamois Valley, the Val Chamuera. Even today, people here are proud of the richly decorated farmhouses and stately patrician homes from the 16th and 17th centuries. And, of course, the top-class gastronomy in the over 450-year-old Hotel Gasthaus Krone. The surrounding area is perfect for a variety of tours on a mountain bike, racing bike, inline skates or on foot. Families can enjoy cosy playgrounds and fire pits by the water. Winter fun is promised by the fantastic cross-country ski trails, snowshoe hikes and ski tours as well as the Müsella children's ski lift.
