Description of the holiday rental

We are a local family and live in our detached house in La Punt. Our house with the holiday flat on the ground floor is situated on a sunny slope in the quiet neighbourhood of Arvins at the foot of the Albula Pass on a local road with no through traffic.

As we live in the same house, we can help you quickly if necessary. We will be happy to give you tips for excursions and explain the connections in the Engadin. If you like, we can even help you choose the right ski wax. Our guests are very important to us. Most of our guests are couples who have been spending their holidays with us for many years, relaxing and recharging their batteries.

The beautiful holiday flat on the ground floor of our house is bright and comfortably furnished. In addition to a sun-drenched living and dining room with open-plan kitchen, the flat offers a spacious bedroom with high-quality beds, an entrance hall with plenty of storage space and a bathroom with shower and WC. The underfloor heating can be controlled individually for each room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, coffee machine (Nespresso or filter), pressure cooker, raclette oven and fondue rechauds, oven, dishwasher and microwave, so that you can concentrate fully on your holiday.

You have free Internet access via our guest WiFi. A television with Swisscom TV (280 channels) and a radio are also available. You can store your sports equipment such as bikes or, in winter, skis and sledges in our garage. If required, you can also use our laundry room with washing machine.

If you arrive by car, there is a free outdoor parking space or an underground car park available for a fee. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains of the Upper Engadine from the leather sofa, the seating area or the well-tended lawn. You can make yourself comfortable anywhere on our 1,000m2 property.

The bakery, the VOLG shop, the post office, the bus stop, four restaurants and the entrance to the cross-country ski trails are all within a 6-minute walk. The RHB railway station is just a 4-minute walk away. The picturesque old part of the village of Chamues-ch is around a 10-minute walk away. The ski lift, curling rink, ice rink and football pitch with playground and skate park are also within walking distance. Art and culture are also just a few minutes away. The golf courses in Zuoz and Samedan can be reached by car in less than 10 minutes.

The hiking and cycling trails as well as the Albula Bike Trail start on our doorstep. In addition to the excellently signposted hiking, mountain hiking, cycling and biking trails, there are also less physically demanding but no less beautiful walks in the valley.

The national park, as well as the idyllic high valleys of Val Bever, Val Roseg, Val Fex and the Morteratsch glacier, and the villages of Pontresina, St. Moritz, Sils and Soglio, as well as Poschiavo and Chiavenna are all within easy reach.

The well-known Lower Engadine villages of Guarda, Sent and Scuol with the Val S-charl can also be reached in approx. 45 minutes.

The incomparable peace and quiet, the fresh mountain air, the royal blue sky and the Engadin sun that shines on more than 330 days characterise our high valley.

The Engadine farmhouses and patrician houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries give the village a very special charm.La Punt Chamues-ch is a village of 700 inhabitants, away from the hustle and bustle and yet in the heart of the Upper Engadine. A place with an attractive basic offer for the inhabitants and our guests from near and far. An ideal starting point for sporting and cultural activities and events in the region.
