Location and general information:
The Chesa Melcher is one of the many historic buildings in the village of Zuoz. The flat on the ground floor of the house has been renovated, retaining the old elements without compromising on comfort. The result is a unique flat with modern standards and the cosiness of old times. Chesa Melcher is located at the end of the ski slope into the village, close to the valley station of the Chastlatsch chairlift. The railway station and the village centre are just a few minutes' walk away. The bus stop for the free local bus in winter and the train to the national park in summer is right outside the front door. The single garage in the house, which belongs to the flat on the ground floor, can also be used to store skis and bicycles. The two flats in the house share a laundry room in the basement. There is no lift in the Chesa Melcher. Pets are not allowed in the Chesa Melcher. Smoking is not permitted in the flat.

Room layout:
The flat in the Chesa Melcher has two double bedrooms. The bathroom has a bathtub, a washbasin and a toilet. A cosy, very spacious living room adjoins the wide, old corridor in which the dining room and the modern Bulthaup kitchen are located. The dining room leads onto a small, south-facing balcony. The flat also has a sunny garden seating area in front of the basement of the property.

Furnishings:
The flat in the Chesa Melcher has very beautiful, well-preserved features from the old days. The living room and corridor, for example, have remained virtually unchanged, while the kitchen and bathroom are modern. There are old parquet floors in the rooms and large natural stone slabs in the dining area and kitchen. The bathroom has white ceramic tiles. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob with steam extractor, an oven, a fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. The flat is equipped with satellite TV and free W-LAN.

Zuoz - Customs and tradition in an idyllic mountain village
The townscape of Zuoz is considered to be the most beautiful in the Upper Engadine. Numerous proud patrician houses such as the Chesa Planta confidently present their typical bay windows and sgraffito decorations. Mysterious alleyways invite you to explore the village's colourful past. The magnificent 18-hole golf course, the inline skating track and the wide range of hiking and biking options provide a modern splash of colour. A special highlight of Zuoz is a visit to Badilatti, the highest coffee roastery in Europe. In winter, the Engadin Skimarathon cross-country ski trails are right outside the village and the family-friendly ski area offers skiing fun for all levels of ability.

On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of enjoyable trails: the Upper Engadine offers a first-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails amidst the pristine mountain world and the inspiring Upper Engadine lake district. The four flow trails on the Corviglia provide the right flow, while the Upper Engadin lakes are also popular with sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling: the possibilities are almost endless. The two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz are a particularly impressive way to experience the expanse of the inspiring high valley. And in addition to the wide range of sporting activities on offer, there are also first-class cultural attractions such as a visit to the museum or the numerous art galleries in the various villages.

In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza ski areas and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes shine with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.

Families can enjoy the Engadin sunshine on a carriage ride into Val Roseg or Val Fex, or toboggan down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.
