Description of the holiday rental
The beautiful apartment is located on a side street in a quiet location, Brè above Lugano with approx. 500 inhabitants. It is located at 800 m above sea level and is one of the sunniest villages in Ticino. However, guests are not very far from the city's amenities, the bus n° 12 connects Brè to the center of Lugano every 30 minutes. With the Monte Brè Funicular you can reach Cassarate with runs every 30 minutes.
In the village there are two restaurants, Salotto BRÈ Restaurant in the town center and GROTTO CASTAGNETO located in the woods.
During the opening hours of the funicular there are also two other nice restaurants with panoramic terraces: Vetta Restaurant and OSTERIA FUNICOLARE at the Vetta del Monte Brè. They can be reached in approx. 30 minutes walk from the village.
The lake is about seven kilometers from the house.
Countless possibilities for walks and excursions in the area.

The village of Brè is known for its artistic furniture in the core of the village with 20 works of art by international artists.
In the church of San Simone and San Fedele you can admire the frescoes by Joseph Birò, a famous Hungarian artist.
There are no shops in the village!
The nearest shops are located at the foot of the mountain, in Cassarate (Migros) and Viganello (Coop, Denner, Aldi and Lidl).
In 30 minutes by car you reach Porlezza (Italy) where there is a nice choice of shops.
