Shopping facilities in Thusis (Migros, Coop, Aldi, Lidl), 15 minutes by car from Oberurmein. The surrounding farms also sell their own fresh produce. The Heinzenberg is a central starting point for various excursions such as the Viamala and Roffla gorges, Cazis with its monastery and the castles of the Domleschg, the Andeer mineral baths and much more.

Local description: Oberurmein is a holiday village in a very quiet location.the restaurant Skihütte is open in the winter season.local food is available in the restaurants on the Glaspass and in Tschappina.otherwise there are various possibilities in Thusis, 15 minutes by car from Oberurmein.The small but beautiful ski area "Tschappina-Lüsch-Urmein" stretches from 1580 to 2180 metres above sea level.The ski area is ideal for beginners and children.In winter the Patrutgsee is frozen and you can skate on the lake.In summer there are fireplaces around the lake and you can also swim. There is a wooden raft and a small rowing boat for use, and the lake is a 10-minute walk above the Cardun house, right on the edge of the forest.
