Description of the holiday rental
Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed. In winter, when there is a lot of snowfall, the roads may not be easily passable. Winter tyres and snow chains are then an advantage.
Public transport: By train to Scuol, local buses run from Scuol Staziun. From the Bügl Grond bus stop it is 200 metres to the Engadinerhaus.
Number of persons 5: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house offers space for five guests (plus baby). Flat 2 is located on the 2nd floor. On entering, you are directly in the living/dining room with an open-plan kitchen. There is a separate bathroom next to the kitchen. There are two double rooms and one single room. If required, flat 1 and flat 2 can be rented together to accommodate 11 people. The floors are made of wood, which is why we recommend good slippers. Garden: There is an outdoor area in front of the house, which is shared with the guests of flat 1.
WLAN: Is available, also a television.
Open: The house can be rented all year round.
Pets: Pets are allowed.
Altitude: 1300 metres above sea level.

The Chasa Engadina is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
