Founded in 1253 by Walser colonizers from Valais, Bosco Gurin is a splendid village nestled in the basin of the Valle di Bosco, in the Vallemaggia District. With its 1,504 meters above sea level it is the highest municipality in the Canton of Ticino and is the only German-speaking municipality in Ticino. This is a very popular tourist destination in winter but also in summer thanks to the ski lifts that are among the most popular in Ticino. A brand new sledge lift will also be in operation since 2021. There are many activities that can be done: alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle, snowshoeing, hiking, climbing, fishing, trekking. The Alpine Duplex is located inside the Hotel Walser overlooking the village, equipped with every comfort for up to 6 people. Very central location. Possibility of making many excursions, reaching the alpine lakes and being enchanted by the wonderful nature in all seasons.
