The property is arranged over two floors and enjoys a pretty balcony that provides the ideal spot for morning coffee or drinks at the end of a busy day of exploring. There’s even a lakeside garden where visitors can relax.

Inside, the apartment enjoys an open-plan living and dining room that looks out to the balcony through large French doors. This room is furnished with a dining table, a comfortable sofa bed and a flat-screen TV. There is also a separate eat-in kitchen located on the ground floor fitted with; an induction hob, an oven, a microwave and a fridge freezer.

Location

The property is located on the main street of Vira Gambarogno, a charming village on the Eastern shore of Lake Maggiore in the Ticino region of Switzerland. The area is known for its lush gardens including the famous Parco Botanico del Gambarogno (an 8-minute drive) and traditional Ticinese cuisine - a blend of Italian and Swiss influences. Visitors can also enjoy local products such as cheese, wine and honey. The closest restaurant is a 6-minute drive away and there is a supermarket a 6-minute drive from the accommodation.

The popular resort town of Locarno is approximately a 15-minute drive away. Here guests will find a train station, ferry port and a selection of restaurants and shops. Locarno is also home to a lido, a casino, the "Ghisla Art" collection, a panoramic funicular and cultural attractions, including Palazzo Franzoni, Palazzo Morettini and Castello Visconteo. For an action-packed day, visitors can head to Monte Tamaro Adventure Park (a 30-minute drive) or for a relaxing afternoon in the sun Lido Vira Gambarogno beach is a 4-minute walk.

The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), a one hour and 20-minute drive from the accommodation. Locarno airport is a 9-minute drive.
