If you don't feel like cooking yourself, you can indulge in culinary delights in the typical Valais restaurants. There is a great pizzeria right next to the flat or you can be inspired by the cookery skills of one of the best mountain restaurants.

Interior
The 3 1/2 room duplex flat is rustically and cosily furnished and extends over 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a guest WC, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a large balcony on the sunny side (south-west facing).
On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a double bed 180 x 200 cm and a second bedroom with a double bed 160 x 200 cm, as well as a bathroom with another WC (bath with shower).

Kitchen
The kitchen has plenty of crockery and pans, a new fridge with a small freezer compartment and a Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother.

Due to its size, the kitchen does not have a dishwasher.

House and outside area
The flat is located in one half of a semi-detached house. A total of 6 flats belong to Moosalpe A. Access to the flat is at ground level and the car can be parked in the car park opposite the flat. Skis can be stored in the ski room.
Bicycles or mountain bikes can be parked in the garage in the car parking space. The car park is closed and can only be opened by tenants.

Surroundings
Birkendorf Bürchen can be reached by car (15 minutes from Visp) and by post bus from Visp railway station. It is a good starting point for discovering the Upper Valais. Saas Fee, Zermatt and the Aletsch Arena are all within easy reach.
In Bürchen itself you will find a fantastic hiking region and a small but excellent ski area without queuing at the lift.
In the Chaletzone there is a village shop which is open during the season and in the village there is a larger shop which is open 7 days a week.

Note on visitor's tax
The visitor's tax for adults is included in the rental price, after full payment of the rental price you will receive the guest cards.

Further information and notes
The flat is very well furnished and is suitable for couples or families. Smoking is not permitted in the flat. Fuel for the fireplace must be brought by the tenant.

Other sports and leisure activities in summer: hiking, geo-catching, mini golf, Vita Parcous, Monstertrotti in Bürchen and Unterbäch, Robinson playground at Bodmen, Kneipp zone. In winter: Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoe trail, ride on the Alpuschnaager, Sünnele.

Excursion possibilities: Hike to the beautiful Moosalp or along the Suonen from Zeneggen to Eischoll. These are wonderful hikes. The ascent to the Augstbordhorn is also a highlight for experienced hikers, while those who prefer a more leisurely pace can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Upper Valais, and within an hour's drive you can reach places such as Saas Fee, Zermatt, Fiesch, Bettmeralp or Riederalp, as well as the starting point for the Europaweg trail with the longest suspension bridge. 2.5 hours by train from Visp takes you to the metropolis of Milan. There in the morning and back in the evening and you have spent a great day in Italy. Domodossola can be reached in an hour by car from Bürchen and in half an hour by train from Visp, because there is a market on Saturday that you shouldn't miss.

Location description: Bürchen is a mountain village with a well-developed chalet zone and extends from 1300 to 1600 metres above sea level. The vegetation is fantastic, the larch forests are fragrant in spring and the many birch trees have given Bürchen the name Birkendorf. Wild animals can be seen from time to time while hiking and it's not unusual to see a squirrel crossing the path, while the mascot Moosalbi provides entertainment for children. Children will be enchanted by the lively dwarf. Bürchen also has a good ski and snowboard school. You won't find any nightlife here, but you will find peace and quiet, fresh air, good wines and fine specialities. in winter you can enjoy the ski region and long queues at the lift are a thing of the past here.
