For those looking to explore the area, a visit to the cosmopolitan city Lugano, Melide’s SwissMiniatur and the magnificent Monte San Salvatore (with tons of hiking routes) is a must–all of them are a 30-minute drive from the rental’s location. And, if you are a literature fan, then don’t miss out on Montagnola, a 20-minute drive away and home to the museum dedicated to Nobel Prize-winning author Hermann Hesse.
