Description of the holiday rental

The flat is located on the largest cow pasture in Switzerland. It is surrounded by an idyllic alpine panorama and is centrally located on the Urnerboden. The alpine cheese dairy, village shop, church, cable car and restaurant are all within a 5-minute walk. You will find a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms each with a double bed (1.80 & 1.40m) and in the living area the comfortable sofa can also be used as a bed (1.60m). On the private balcony you can enjoy the marvellous sunset and the fantastic mountain landscape. Adjacent to the balcony is the garden with barbecue area, which can be used by all residents of the historic house.

Gentle tourism is the ideal description of the Urnerboden. In summer there are many beautiful hiking opportunities or you can admire the marvellous alpine landscape while biking, climbing or soaking up the sun. The "Fätsch" (the stream) is also close by for a refreshing dip. In winter, the Urnerboden is quite snow-sure and an ideal starting point for numerous ski tours. The cross-country ski trail is right in front of the house. There are also various snowshoe trails and a toboggan run.

The best way to reach Urnerboden by car is via the Klausen Pass (please note; winter closure) or via Glarnerland.
The post bus stop is directly in front of the house (only in summer).
The cows are only on the Urnerboden in summer from about the end of May/beginning of June for about 4 weeks and then again for about 3 weeks in the middle/end of August. In the meantime, the alpine farmers move the cows to higher pastures. In winter, the farmers are on the home farms.
