Attention amateur cooks: This kitchen here has so much storage space that you can easily cook a school class with a 5-course menu. Fortunately (or just: unlucky?) you only need to swing the ladle here for a maximum of 4 people. Compared to the living space, this rather small number of people means that you will hardly ever step on each other's feet here in this vacation apartment. Cable internet connection and parabolic TV allow you to spend a few hours indoors even on a weather-beaten day, should the weather be as it should not. This is not an impossibility, even in the sunny Valais. Our ?all inclusive? ? formula does not include guaranteed sunshine. And that is just as well.

Summer

The actual hiking area around Veysonnaz extends in a southerly direction to the Valais high Alps. If you are on Veysonnaz? about 300km long hiking area, you will enjoy pure nature. You will also be able to encounter many freely grazing cows. These are harmless, no cattle will attack you, but rather let you pet them. A large area of Veysonnaz's surroundings is protected thanks to intact flora, fauna and meadows. Pulling out silver thistles or gentians as souvenirs is not appreciated.......

But tours in the high mountains are also possible. The "Bisse-de-Vex" for example, a 12km long Suone (water conduit) from the 15th century, has been elaborately restored. Without having to overcome great differences in altitude and with mostly fantastic views, you can hike high above Veysonnaz along such Suonen.

Winter

As soon as snow falls in winter, Veysonnaz becomes a winter sports paradise. It is part of the ski area of the "Four Valleys" ("Quatre-Vallées") with about 400km of perfectly groomed slopes. On the "Piste-de-l'Ours", above Veysonnaz, many ski world cup races are held. A spectacle beyond compare for the spectators! The huge ski arena of the "Quattre-Vallées" stretches from Veysonnaz and the adjacent ?les-Collons-Thyon-2000? over Nendaz, the Mont-Fort (3330m) to Verbier and La Tzoumaz. No less than 410km of slopes for all levels (from beginner to professional) offer to feel the pressure of your boards for once. 95 lifts ensure that you will be catapulted back up to the heights after a speedy downhill run.
