Description of the holiday rental

About the flat
The very quietly located 2.5-room maisonette attic flat is close to the village centre, cross-country ski trails, hiking trails, bus and train.
The living/dining area has direct access to the balcony, a cosy corner fireplace and a modern kitchen.
The sleeping area with the large and small bedroom and bathroom is located on the upper floor of the flat. There is a guest WC with washing machine and tumble dryer in the entrance hall.
The living room is furnished with wood, south-facing balcony, fully equipped kitchen with corner bench and table, bathroom with bathtub. Jura coffee machine, sufficient crockery, oven etc.
Very quiet location, opposite the RhB station "Surovas", cross-country ski trails, hiking trails, bus, village centre, restaurant, café and shopping centre in the immediate vicinity.
Access for guests: The flat on the top floor is accessible via a lift.
In the basement there is a car parking space as well as a ski and bicycle room.

ARRIVAL
The journey on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) from Chur to the Engadin, with its helical tunnels and dizzying viaducts, is one of the most picturesque and interesting railway journeys in Europe. You can also travel to the Engadin from Landquart via Klosters - Vereina Tunnel. The train journey from Zurich main station to Pontresina takes around 3 hours.
Pontresina can also be reached by bus or private car on well-maintained Alpine roads from northern Switzerland, Ticino, Italy or Austria. If you would like to avoid travelling over the pass by car, you have the option of loading your car onto rails in Klosters/Selfranga.
There is an airport not far from Pontresina: from Engadin Airport you have flight connections to the international airports of Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Milan and Munich. There are also air-taxi connections to many other national and international destinations.
Coming by car from St. Moritz or Samedan, take route 29 towards Pontresina at the roundabout. After 3.9 km turn sharp left into Via Maistra, after a few metres before the Rominger Holzmanufaktur turn sharp left again into Curtins Strasse, drive through the subway and then immediately turn right. You will find yourself directly in front of the Chesa Romana.
From the small Surovas railway station (stop on request!) you can reach Chesa Romana on foot in 4 minutes and from Pontresina railway station in 18 minutes.
The nearest bus stop 'Pontresina Post' is a 6-minute walk from Chesa Romana. You can get here on 5 different lines (1, 2, 10, 701 and 705) from all directions.

KEY
We send our guests a key code for the door to the holiday flat and for the main entrance door to Chesa Romana. The personal key code gives you access to the holiday flat on the 5th floor (lift available). The keys for the flat, garage and entrance door are ready for you to use in the white basket in the cloakroom.
Please do not forget to return the keys before departure and to lock the door electronically from the outside (via app).

ACCESS TO THE GARAGE
Free parking space no. 29 is reserved for you in the underground car park. You can use the house key to open the garage door at the entrance.

SKIS AND BIKES
Please leave your skis, ski boots and bikes in the common room next to the entrance to the underground car park.

INTERNET
We have set up a W-LAN guest access for you.

BED LINEN/KITCHEN TOWELS/BEDROOMS
The beds are fully made up with fresh bed linen.
Towels and kitchen towels are provided by us.

KITCHEN
For environmental reasons, we have decided against a Nespresso coffee machine in favour of a fully automatic Jura coffee machine. You are welcome to bring your favourite coffee beans with you. The coffee machine is ready for the first cups.

PETS
Pets are not allowed.

SMOKING
The holiday flat is a NON-SMOKING APARTMENT.
Please smoke ONLY outside the flat. There is an ashtray in front of the balcony door. Please do not smoke with
open balcony door and also not through the window.

CAREFUL USE
The tenant undertakes to use the rented property with care and to show consideration for the occupants and furnishings. The rental property may only be occupied by the maximum number of persons stated in the booking.

It is not permitted to enter the flat with wet or dirty shoes (e.g. ski, snowboard or hiking boots). These must be deposited together with the ski equipment in the room provided for this purpose next to the entrance to the underground car park. Please use slippers in the holiday flat.

Other sports and leisure activities: On 580 kilometres of hiking trails across all mountains or by mountain bike on 400 kilometres of pleasure trails: the Upper Engadine offers a first-class network of hiking trails and mountain bike trails in the midst of the pristine mountain world and the inspiring Upper Engadine lake district. The three flow trails on the Corviglia provide the right flow. The lakes of the Upper Engadin are also popular with sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddling: the possibilities are almost endless. The expanse of the inspiring high valley can be experienced in a particularly impressive way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz.
In winter, 350 kilometres of the finest pistes in the Corviglia, Corvatsch and Diavolezza ski areas and the family-friendly Zuoz invite you to enjoy true skiing and snowboarding fun. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes shine with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.Families and children can toboggan down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.
