The Maiensäss is located above Siat, very quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains, surrounded by meadows and in autumn also by our Scottish Highland cattle, exactly this unique experience that makes for a relaxed and cozy holiday stay.

The Maiensäss is rustic and romantic at the same time. It dates back to 1909 and was carefully renovated in 2001. A cozy, soothing warmth is provided in the living room by an old soapstone stove (gas heating is available). Cooking is done on a wood stove (gas stove available), the wood can be chopped yourself. The hut has no running water, but there is a wooden fountain with cold spring water directly in front of the hut. A grill is available for free use on the sun terrace.

The living room has a dining table and a double bed. The kitchen is equipped with a wood/gas cooking stove, bedroom with a double bed, 2 single beds and 2 mattresses on the gallery of the bedroom. The simple toilet is located outside directly at the hut, a solar shower is also available. The rustic Maiensäss has no electricity. Bed linen is available and included in the price.

Pets welcome by arrangement.

In summer the Maiensäss is accessible by car (Alpstrasse toll). In winter the Maiensäss can be reached on foot or with snowshoes/backcountry skis, from Siat in about 45 minutes. Driving permit can be obtained directly from the landlord. (Daily permit CHF 10.00 / weekly permit CHF 20.00 / monthly permit CHF 30.00).

Experience pure nature, whether with family, friends or for yourself, in our cozy Maiensäss "Arca da Siat" at 1500 m above sea level.

Our farm in Siat is an organic farm that is operated according to organic guidelines. In the idyllic surroundings, apple trees, Scottish Highland cattle and small animals such as geese, chickens, sheep and bees find a beautiful home.

The organic farm is managed by Paul Cahenzli, who continues to develop the farm with passion and energy. His sister Salome Cahenzli brings her creativity and enthusiasm to the area of agrotourism. Together, they ensure that the farm remains a place where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.
