Village description: The mountain village of Vals has around 1,000 inhabitants and almost as many sheep - or so they say. The village became famous thanks to the thermal baths realised by the renowned architect Peter Zumthor and, of course, the Vals water. The stone roofs that adorn almost all the buildings in the village are typical of Vals. Visitors will find shops for their daily needs, hotels and restaurants in the village. The jewel of the valley, the small hamlet of Leis, lies on a terrace above the village. Pretty farmhouses, stables and the small church characterise this place, where the Ganni restaurant invites you to linger.
