Chalet Alvorada - Enchanting panoramic views

Our cosy chalet has four bedrooms and can accommodate 9 people. It offers a fantastic view of Grindelwald and the Wetterhorn. The garden at the back with its spacious and sunny seating area offers a spectacular view of the north face of the Eiger, as well as the Lauberhorn, Tschuggen and Männlichen.

Ski-in & ski-out: The chalet is located on the Kleine Scheidegg / Männlichen ski area side.
Access to the ski piste and hiking trails start right outside the front door. In winter, you can ski from the chalet onto the piste. The descent to the Grindelwald Grund valley station and terminal is possible directly from the house.

The chalet is accessible by car all year round. There is a car park in front of the house and three further parking spaces approx. 150m uphill. Snow chains are required in winter.

Spillmättli bus station approx. 5 min. on foot, Grindelwald Grund railway station approx. 10 min. on foot.
On the living floor there is a master bedroom with a double bed. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms with 1 x 2 single beds, 1 x 2 single beds plus a cot and 1 x double bed and a single bed. All bedrooms have spacious fitted wardrobes. There is also a separate room with a bunk with a double bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. The studio flat on the entrance floor is not included.

The chalet has three modern bathrooms with shower/WC, one on each floor, two of which have a bathtub. The bathroom on the upper floor has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, 4-burner ceramic hob, fridge, oven,
kettle, toaster, two table grills for 6 or 8 people, fondue dishes, coffee machine (Nespresso).
An additional fridge in the entrance area and a microwave are also available.

Landline telephone and cable TV with DVD and hi-fi system with CD, streaming and USB. WLAN with 600mbit.

Small selection of books about Grindelwald and the Bernese Oberland as well as many fun and challenging games for all ages.

Minimum stay: 1 week (high season), 5 days (low season)

Shopping
Wide range of groceries and non-food in the LANDI in Grindelwald Grund, 5 minutes by car, about 20 minutes on foot. Further shopping facilities in the village and in the terminal.

Agriculture
Our chalet is in a well-developed location in the centre of the agricultural zone. The neighbouring farm cultivates all the surrounding land and keeps livestock in its barn. In summer, occasional noise emissions from the hay blower and the smell of stables cannot be ruled out.

Heating
The chalet is equipped with modern radiant heating. The heating is controlled remotely by the owner. Individual adjustment with room thermostats is possible. The radiators can get very hot for short periods. Due to the risk of fire, please do not place any objects on the radiators.

Access
In winter, the road to our chalet from Grindelwald Grund is often covered in snow. Snow chains are therefore required in winter and a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.

If you are travelling by train, we recommend taking a taxi from Grindelwald Dorf station.
