Holidays in a listed building combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the "Ferien im Baudenkmal" foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: 10 minutes on foot from the railway station.
Car: Access to the Schüsspromenade.

Number of persons 6-8: 4 bedrooms. On the 2nd floor 1 room with double bed (180/200) and 1 room with two single beds (90x200). On the 1st floor 1 room with double bed (180x200) and on the garden floor 1 room with double bed (180x200). Baby cot and chair available on request.
Season: All year round
Short holidays: Low season (at least 3 nights)
Outdoor space: Under the veranda a covered seating area with furniture and various places in the garden with furniture in the park.
Heating: The flat is heated by central heating.

Extras: Villa Elfanau is located in a park, which is bordered on one side by a stream and otherwise surrounded by a fence. Part of the park is open to the public, the villa garden is for the exclusive use of the guests.
Important addition: The "Villa Elfenau" is a historic house, a listed building. Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, we would like to point out that certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not comply with current standards and could be a potential source of danger. The former fish ponds are not entirely safe for children. Access to the roof terrace is not permitted as the parapet does not meet current safety standards. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal disclaim any liability.
