Chalet Alvorada - Enchanting Panorama

Our cozy chalet offers a phantastic view of Grindelwald and the Wetterhorn. The garden in the yard with its ample veranda opens to a spectacular view on the world-famous Eiger north face.

Ski-in & Ski-out: The chalet is located on the side of the Kleine Scheidegg / Männlichen. Access to ski-slopes and hiking-paths begins right at your doorstep. In winter, skiers can reach the ski slopes directly from the house on skis. You can ski down to Grindelwald Grund and Terminal for easy access to all cablecars and trains.

Our four bedrooms can accommodate 9 people. One master-bedroom with a double-bed on the living-floor and three bedrooms on the upper floor with 1 x 2 single beds plus a baby-cot, 1 x 2 single beds and one double plus one single bed,. All rooms have spacious wardrobes. In addition, there is a attic-space with a double bed. Bedsheets and towels are provided, all beds are fully made upon arrival.
 The Studio-apartment in the entrance-level is not included.
We provide three separate bathrooms, all with shower or bath, one on each floor. The bathroom on the upper floor has a washer and dryer. 



The living and dining area on the first floor provide access to the terrace and garden, offering views in three directions. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking range, oven, fridge and dishwasher as well as two raclette-grills for 6 or 8 people, Fondue-set, toaster, kettle and a Nespresso-machine.

A microwave and an additional fridge are available too.
Wide selection of board-games in english and german.

TV, Radio and telephone, HiFi with CD, streaming and USB. Wireless internet with 600mbit.

The chalet is accessible by car year round. Parking (for 1 car) right in front of the house. Three further parking-spaces ca. 150m further up the road.

Bus-stop Spillmättli is 5 mins on foot, train station Grindelwald Grund is 10 mins downhill on foot.

Minimum stay: one week in high-season, 5 days in shoulder-season

Shopping
There is a well stocked Landi-store in Grindelwald Grund, ca 5 mins down the road by car. Landi provides groceries, liquor and a wide variety go non-food-items, including hardware. More shopping options in the village and at the Terminal.

Farming
Our Chalet is surrounded by farmland. the neighbouring farmer keeps livestock in his barn (cows, goats). Occasional noise from the hay-ventilation may occur in summer.

Heating
The radiators can temporarily get very hot. Please do not place any objects on them!

In Winter, snow-chains or a 4-wheel drive is essential. Without snow-chains or 4-wheel drive, acess to the chalet cannot be guaranteed at all times.
