Vacation in Architectural Monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in Architectural Monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.

Car park: A private car park is available in front of the house. 

Public transport: From Basel by train to Möhlin, then BUS 89 89076 in the direction of Wegenstetten, Oberdorf. From Zurich to Olten, then S3 direction Porrentruy to Gelterkinden, from Gelterkinden BUS 101 1027 direction Wegenstetten, Oberdorf.

By car: from Zurich on the A1 towards Bern/Basel, past Frick, exit Eiken, Bad Säckingen, Laufenburg, through Eiken and Schupfart to Wegenstetten. From Basel in the direction of Zurich on the A2. After Rheinfelden in the direction of Möhlin, Zeiningen, Zuzgen, Hellikon as far as Wegenstetten.

Bicycles: Can be parked in the garage.

Number of persons: 6 (2 double beds, 2 single beds).

Garden: Covered arbour with access to the large natural garden and garden seating area. The garden also harbours a biotope.

WLAN: Available. 

Open: The house can be rented from April to October and can also be booked for three nights except in summer.

Pets: Are allowed on request.

Altitude: 441 metres above sea level.

IMPORTANT ADDITION
The Flederhaus is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing structure. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property and the bats with care. Although the building is equipped in a technically up-to-date manner, certain functional details do not meet current standards and harbour a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument disclaim any liability.
