Welcome to Ferienhaus Cuncalada!

Your host is Gustav Loretan. He will hand over the keys, explain everything important about the house, and be available to answer any questions during your stay. Please contact me at least three days before your arrival to arrange the key handover time.

LOCATION

The house is located 50 meters from a bus stop with hourly connections to the national border and to Scuol, making it suitable even for holidays without a car. Our village has a PRIMO shop where you can find almost everything (open Monday to Saturday, closed Monday and Saturday afternoons).

RENT

The rent varies depending on the season.

Included in the rent are the use of the apartment and garden, as well as bed, bath, and kitchen linen. In addition to the apartment rent, you will pay a tourism tax card fee. With this card, you are entitled to free use of public transport throughout the Lower Engadine, as well as limited rides on mountain railways. The final cleaning costs CHF 150, assuming normal wear and tear. If a more extensive cleaning is required, this will be charged separately. These costs also cover bath and bed linen, electricity, and heating.

If you need anything additional, please don’t hesitate to ask: bath and beach towels, raclette and fondue sets, sledges, bicycles, a children’s chair, etc. There are also books, games, and other indoor activities available. I’d also be happy to suggest day trips for you.

Internet is available. You will find the Wi-Fi password in the information sheet on site. Mobile phone reception in the house is good. Smoking is prohibited throughout the house, but permitted in the garden. Candles are not allowed due to fire hazard. Pets are allowed by prior arrangement.

Apartment 3 attic

You have a large, bright room under the roof at your disposal.

No need to ventilate; the room is equipped with a comfort ventilation system that runs continuously. If you still wish to ventilate, do so intensively and cross-ventilate the apartment, and remember to close all windows again. The skylights can be operated as follows: to darken, fully or partially; to ventilate, only exceptionally in summer.

The house is secured with a central locking system. Your badge allows you to enter the house and your apartment. You will be given as many badges as you need for yourself and your companions, to be signed for.

 APARTMENT: The wooden furniture made from old stable wood contributes greatly to the pleasant atmosphere. Please take care of it by not placing glasses or cups on it; use the dining and club table instead. Thank you.

The Steinway grand piano can be rented separately. The times for playing music must be agreed upon with the tenants of the upper floor.

KITCHEN: Here you will find a new combination with an oven, dishwasher, and all necessary appliances and dishes. A moka pot (screw coffee) is provided, for which you will need ground coffee.

You will need to bring your own groceries. A small selection of spices, oil, and vinegar is available. Please note that the pans are PFAS-free but are not suitable for searing at very high temperatures (max. level 7). You can still sear meat without any problems.

You can dispose of compost at the back entrance in the green bin or directly on the compost pile under the pear tree.

Household waste goes in the yellow bags provided by the municipality; one is available at the start of your rental.

BATH: After showering/bathing, it is advisable to leave the door open for a while.

GARDEN: The garden is at your disposal, complete with a barbecue area, table and chairs, and sun loungers.
