Palazzo Comacio

The 45 m2 studio has a private bathroom with shower. The room is furnished with a dining table, sofa and a double bed 180 cm wide. Valley and garden view. Here we have built a large kitchen with induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, oven. A Nespresso machine and the necessary crockery are available. In addition to underfloor heating, a fireplace stove provides a cozy warmth and an intimate atmosphere. WLAN reception in every studio. On arrival we provide: coffee capsules, crispy bread, butter, honey and coffee cream for a first breakfast.

Coming from Bellinzona, the silhouette of the Palazzo Comacio appears in the outskirts of Roveredo, right next to the Romanesque tower of the church of San Giulio. The imposing building bears the name of its builder, Tomaso Comacio.

Roveredo is the capital of Mesolcina and is located in the valley floor. The village is nestled in a mountainous hill landscape, which gives a sense of security. In addition to various notable historic buildings, Roveredo offers a lively village life and intact infrastructure, such as grocery stores, an organic products store, two butchers, two pharmacies, a bakery, restaurants and bars.

The Moesa river, which runs through the village, allows for safe bathing during the summer season.

By public transport, Bellinzona can be reached in half an hour, while Locarno and Lugano in one hour.

Art and culture

The Calanca Valley and the Mesolcina Valley offer a rich cultural life. Here people dance, sing, eat, drink, laugh, sow, harvest...

People meet in the mountains, in the valley, on horseback, during hikes, art exhibitions and vernissages.
