Maiensäss Camona, Siat

Bedrooms:
Two unheated bedrooms at the rear of the cabin, each with a double bunk bed (140 cm). Blankets and pillows are provided. Bedding is included in the price. It is also possible to bring your own sleeping bag; please indicate this when booking.

Kitchen / Living room:
Well-equipped kitchen with running cold mountain spring water, gas stove, oven and wood stove (gas, wood and cleaning supplies are provided and included in the price). Up to eight people can comfortably spend time together at the extendable table with corner bench and three chairs. A "natural refrigerator", a stainless steel tub, is located in the floor of the living room. Kitchen linens are provided and included in the price. There are various books and magazines as well as indoor and outdoor games. All may be read and played with care.

Bathroom:
This mountain retreat offers the luxury of a toilet and washbasin with running water. The shower is located outdoors, in a separate structure outside the cabin, offering a unique panoramic view! Please bring your own towels.

Other:
Outside, there are various deck chairs, seating options, two large tables with benches, a sun blind, a mobile sun umbrella and a grill available. This allows you to fully enjoy the tranquility, sun and views. For cooling off, there is a wooden well with the most wonderful mountain spring water right in front of the house.
Electricity is generated via a solar panel. There is light in every room. With the appropriate connection cable, electronic devices can be charged. Some adapters and the most common charging cables for mobile phones are available.
The final cleaning must be carried out by the tenant; any additional cleaning required will be charged to the tenant on site. A waste disposal bag (35l) is included; additional bags can be obtained upon handover.

Since 2014, Siat has belonged to the new municipality of Ilanz/Glion. The village is nestled in a terraced hollow on the sunny side of the Surselva valley. The magnificent view of the surrounding mountains is truly breathtaking. The Maiensäss (seasonal alpine pasture hut) is ideal for anyone seeking peace and relaxation in the unique mountain world of the Surselva. Whether you are a young couple, seniors, families with children or active guests, you will find Camona to your liking. The Maiensäss Camona Siat is a beautiful holiday accommodation in all seasons. On the west side of the cabin, there is a forest with a path leading to a small mountain stream, perfect for little and big explorers alike.

The village shop in Siat is open Monday to Saturday. In the nearby town of Ilanz, about 10 kilometers away, you will find additional shops and shopping centers.

A freely accessible parking lot is available in Siat. The walk to Camona takes about 15 minutes in summer and, depending on the amount of snow, about 30 minutes in winter. There is also a parking lot at the Maiensäss, but a driving permit from the Ilanz/Glion municipality is required to drive to the cabin. This can be obtained during office hours at the Ilanz/Glion municipal office or from the holiday apartment rental provider.
