Founded in 1253 by Walser colonizers from Valais, Bosco Gurin is a splendid village nestled in the basin of the Valle di Bosco, in the Vallemaggia District. With its 1,504 meters above sea level it is the highest municipality in the Canton of Ticino and is the only German-speaking municipality in Ticino.
