Description of the holiday rental
Genéral
Beautiful chalet full of history built in 1902 and slightly renovated in 1987. It is composed as follows:
Ground floor: 2 entrances, dining room, kitchen, summer lounge and living room, 1 TV area
1st floor: 1 separate toilet, 4 bedrooms and 1 renovated shower room
2nd floor: 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms
Basement: laundry room
There is a garage for 2 cars and an outside parking space in front of the chalet.
The construction was commissioned by Alfred Muret and the writer Charles Ferdinand Ramuz, the painter René Auberjonois and the composer Igor Stravinsky came to stay at the chalet on several occasions. On this occasion, they collaborated on the creation of the work L'histoire du soldat, Ramuz writing the text, Stravinsky composing the music and Auberjonois painting the sets. In addition, paintings from the 1920s and 1940s depict village life in the Valais at that time.
