South facing sunny property with garden, situated just 50 metres from the lake and a short walk from the heart of Locarno. In the property there are 2 electric scooters at your disposal. Come and enjoy Locarno Garden, located just a 5 minutes walk from Locarno train station. You will be staying within 1 hour drive from the Swiss Alps and 2 hours from Milan. At Locarno Garden you can truly experience Switzerland in all its beauty.
The Piazza Grande is Locarno’s heart, an enchanting square where every year the International Film Festival and the “Moon and Stars” music festival take place.
The Lido di Locarno is a wonderful place for swimming in lake Maggiore, sunbathing in the huge grounds, relaxing in the pool or having lunch in the shade while enjoying a glass of local wine.
Behind the colourful gardens of the Casino, The Ghisla Art Collection displays remarkable modern and contemporary art of international value.
For a nice walk by the lake, the promenade is the perfect place to relax and enjoy an ice cream while taking in the spectacular view.
We recommend travelling to the property by bus, as there is no parking on premises.
If you travel by bus from Locarno train station, take line 311 towards Gudo Chiesa and get off at the first stop Muralto Palazzo dei Congressi. From there, walk for 260 meters following the directions given by the Airbnb app on your phone.
Please note that according to local legislation (RLTur 2014) there will be an additional tourist tax charge of 3.25 CHF per person per night which will be requested at check-in via Airbnb.
