This charming Engadine house is located directly behind the old Roman road in Sils-Baselgia and offers a unique view of the Sils plain, Lake Sils, the surrounding mountains and the Fex Valley. It is in a quiet location, detached and surrounded by a large meadow. On the west side of the house is a covered seating area with sun from about 11 am. The house is built on two floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious living/dining room (without sleeping accommodation) and an office with an emergency bed and washbasin. Entrée, kitchen and a WC are also on the ground floor. There are two double bedrooms on the first floor. The larger one has a double bed and - for people who prefer to sleep separately - a separate extra bed and a washbasin. The smaller room has two single beds. The bathroom and a separate WC are located on the first floor. An occupancy of 4 persons is optimal and corresponds to the 4*plus category. An additional person could sleep on the emergency bed in the office and, if necessary, a third person could sleep on the extra bed in the large bedroom. A cot (stored in the cellar) can be accommodated in the smaller double bedroom. This means that a maximum occupancy of 5 (up to 6) adults plus a small child is possible. The house was built in 1961 in the Engadine style, generously extended and lovingly - partly antique - furnished. The interior is dominated by the contrast of Swiss stone pine and white brickwork. There are plenty of household items and linen for the beds, kitchen and bathroom, so you don't need to take anything with you apart from your personal luggage. There is also a landline telephone and a free high-speed Internet connection, cable TV and radio, DVD and CD player. There is a washing machine in the basement for private laundry. The distance to public transport is a 3-minute walk. A free local bus service is available in winter. The car can be parked next to the house in summer and winter.
