In winter you are never more than a few steps away from the action (skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowtubing) as well as all the local shops. The balcony/garden gives you a superb view of the surrounding mountains. In summer, it's the perfect time to soak up the sun and the fresh mountain air by setting off on a wonderful mountain walk or simply by relaxing out on the balcony.
