The Soliva residence distinguishes between old and new, between inside and outside, between light and shadow. The 100-year-old Engadine farmhouse was completely renovated in 1999 and now has seven individually furnished holiday apartments under one roof. The Soliva residence is located between Sils Baslegia and Sils-Maria in a specific and optimal place with a view of the Val Fex and the magical Lake of Sils. The tastefully and functionally furnished apartments offer space to linger, the handicapped-accessible kitchens awaken the desire for culinary creations and those who are looking for variety are welcome at the Chesa Randolina Hotel. You have a beautiful lawn in the exhibition center with hundred-year-old trees. They all had the personal breadth and the magical light of Silsarbeit: writers like Nietzsche, Dürrenmatt and Kästner, artists like Beuys or Chagall and musicians like Strauss, Honegger and David Bowie. They are part of the fact that Sils is now known worldwide as the cultural center of the Engadine. With just 750 attendees, Sils is contemplative, listening, and welcoming.
